Wednesday I helped out at the rendezvous at Tautphaus Park where 4th graders from multiple schools gathered. They have been studying Idaho history all year and they got to come together and learn about how rendezvous were done during the days of the Native Americans and mountain men. They learned about jewelry making, making leather, square dancing, and games that the pioneers and natives played. I remember going to the same rendezvous when I was in 4th grade and I remarked to myself earlier how it’s been almost 20 years. Time moves fast but it was good to see the new generations learning about their heritage.
